Show Lien Law Repeal Data Passed To County Voters Approximately 10,000 pamphlets pamph-lets regarding the proposed repeal re-peal of the lien law are being mailed to' some 3,000 registered voters in Duchesne County this week by the county clerk's office. of-fice. This addressing and mailing mail-ing duty is imposed upon the county clerk by Chapter 25 cf the Utah Code Annotated, 1943. which chapter also imposes tlve duty of publishing pamphlets upon the secretary of state. One of the three pamphlets enclosed to the registered voters is a" copy of the Lien Law, another an-other pamphlet contains the argument ar-gument of the Opponents of the Repeal of the Lien Law, and another pamphlet contains the views of Proponents of the Repeal Re-peal of the Lien Law. Registered voters will vote "yes" or "no" regarding the Initiative In-itiative Proposal No'. 1. on the general election ballot on Nov. 4, the purpose being to repeal the lien provisions of the Public Pub-lic Assistance Act of 1947 and releasing liens heretofore executed exe-cuted by public welfare recipients. |
