Show Show FiEms of Missionary Work While on their missions, Byron Horrocks and Norman Bodily took many interesting colored pictures, and on Monday Mon-day night, before Byron left for Army duty at San Francisco, the boys met and showed the slides at the home of Morrell Labrum. There were pictures taken in New- York, Norfolk, Va., as well as other places they visited on their missions in the south. ' x Mr. and Mrs. Ray Haslem were dinner guests at the home of Clair Haslem, on Sunday. Mrs. Mary Bolton visited with her mother, Mrs. Delia McKowen of Vernal, Sunday. Shirley Bolton visited her grandparents in Neola, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Harrison, three days last week. The Carter Oil Co. started to pump oil from the Whitlock-Taylor Whitlock-Taylor well last Wednesday. Wayne and Billie Haslem attended at-tended the concert given at the Imperial Hall in Vernal, by the famed orchestra leader, Jack Fina. Mr. and Mrs. Ercel Sprouse have sold their home here and are moving to Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Morrell of Lapoint, spent Sunday at the home of her parents, the Win-fred Win-fred Longs. Delbert Horrocks, who spent the winter in Las Vegas, has returned home to get his farming farm-ing operation started. His wife is teaching school in Las Vegas but will return home for the summer. Joseph Horrocks has been living on Delbert's farm all winter. Byron Bolton drove school bus Tuesday and Wednesday, as a relief driver in the absence of Lorraine, who was in Salt Lake on business. At Whiterocks on May 12, the Relief Societies of White-rocks White-rocks and Bennett will have their literature lesson given by Mrs. Larraine Miles Allen. She will show colored slides of the lesson. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks Hor-rocks visited several days this week in Vernal with their daughter, Mrs. Alice White. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lindley, of Provo, came Friday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Houston. They returned Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Lawler were dinner guests on Sunday at the home of Mrs. Frances Bowen. Carol Gene Hall was visiting at the home of Winfred Long on Sunday, and while riding a horse it became frightened and ran away, throwing her off. She suffered cuts on her knee. Seven stitches were required to close the wound. Her hip was badly bruised. |
