Show Lions To Finish Street Marking; dominate Officers A project of long standing will be completed in the near future, Louis Jensen, president of the Lions Club, announced following their meeting held last Thursday at the Frontier Grill Cafe. He reported plans to number houses and name streets were completed at the meeting. According to Mr. Jensen, each home in Roosevelt City will be contacted and asked to support the project. Members have been assigned to canvas the city, asking ask-ing each family to pay $1.50 to help defray the expense of the street and house numbers. Nominations for the new slate of officers that will take over the club next month were made under the direction of a committee headed by Lawrell Jensen and composed of past presidents. Aspiring for president presi-dent will be John Blaine, current cur-rent first vice-president, and Wesley R. Dickerson; for first vice-president, Dwain Buchanan and Gordon Harmston; second vice-president, Dr. R. V. Larson and L. F. Hutchings, and third vice-president, J. V. MvLea and Paul Murphy; Secretary, John Swenson; Lion tamer, Lamont Nielson and Marion Bowman; tail twister, Dr. Paul Stringham. and Lynn Poulson; directors, Ted Olpin, Murriel Axtell, A. B. Christensen and Bennie Schmiett. The club election will take place at their next meeting, May 14. A Lions zone party will be held at Duchesne ' on May 7, with the Duchesne club at host. |
