Show Baseball To, Get Going May 17; i Last Meeting Set The familiar spring cry of I "Play Ball" will be heard in the Basin League on Sunday, May I 17, is an announcement made by the newly elected officers. I Richard Curry, of Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, is the new president, I with Keith Todd, of Ballard, vice - president and secretary. Homer J. Secokuku is the publicity pub-licity director. A request by Fort Duchesne and Myton to play Sunday ball was approved by the league with the provision that teams I who would not participate on the Sabbath would have their i games on Saturdays. A request goes out to all com- munities in the Basin desiring ' to enter a league, to make their I desires known to the officers ' as quickly as possible. The next I meeting will be held at the ' Roosevelt police station on May , 13, at which time entrance fees, I which is $10 per team, and ros-. ros-. ters should be submitted. A I schedule will be drawn at the meeting, and each team will be allowed to carry 20 players, which includes a playing man-I man-I ager and captain. |
