Show Hiss Janeil Smith Weds In Temple Rites March 17th In solemn marriage rites in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Miss Janeil Ja-neil Smith and Joseph Junior Hicks exchanged vows " Thursday, March 17. The bride is the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Smith of Roosevelt and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hamilton, Salt Lake City. On Friday, Marcl 18, the new-lyweds new-lyweds were feted at a reception in the Roosevelt! stake house, when a large group of guests attended at-tended to offer congratulations. The bride welcomed guests in her full-length goMn of white satin sat-in and Chantilly lfce with a nylon tulle overskirt. "lie tight fitting bodice was lace-Jver. satin, with long sleeves tapering to points at the wrist. It was fashioned with a Princess Ann collar. Her veil of bride's illusion was three-quarter length and cascaded from a tiara of pearls and rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of red roses ros-es and stephonatis. Attending the bride as maid of honor wass Miss Verleen Smith, who wore a ballerina length formal for-mal of lime green net and taffeta. Bridesmaids were Miss Connie Hamilton, Miss Renae Eldredge and Miss Maurine Allred, all attired at-tired in ballerina length formals in pastel shades. Each attendant had a gardenia corsage. Mother of the bride chose an afternoon dress of pink lace over taffeta, and the groom's mother wore a red afternoon frock. Both had gardenia corsages. Billy Durfey assumed best man duties for the groom. The fourt-tiered white wedding cake was decorated with Dink ros es, and topped with a miniature bride and groom and a white bell in an arch. Miss Marilyn Wills and Miss Tova Henningsen assisted assist-ed with the serving and Mrs. Don Allred was in charge of the guest book and the gift room. Capably taking over master of ceremonies for the evening was Keith Campbell, who announced the following program: vocal solo, Roy Anderson; pantomine, Miss Maurine Allred; tap dance, Miss Ellen Anderton; and reading, Mrs. Gerald Bolton. The newlyweds are making their home in Roosevelt. |
