Show New Carburetor Unit On Pontiac Autos A special four-barrel carburetor unit which increases the horsepower horse-power output of the Pontiac Stra-to-Sreak V-8 engine from 180 to 200 horsepower is being offered for installation on 1955 Pontiacs, H. E. Crawford, general sales manager man-ager of Pontiac Motor Division announced today. "The new power unit adds to the exciting acceleration acceler-ation and performance of the standard Strato-Streak engines, Mr. Crawford said. "Our three 1955 Pontiac lines, the 860, 870 and Star Chief Series, are all powered by the Strato-Streak Strato-Streak 'V-8 engine, and offer more horsepower per dollar than any car in their price range," Crawford added. "Our 860 models, the lowest low-est priced cars in the Pontiac line, are available with either a 180 or 200 horsepower, V-8 engine. No other car in the medium-price range offers as much power and performance at such a low price." The unit,, consisting of a four barrel carburetor, a special intake manifold and a heavy duty air cleaner, is available on all models. mod-els.
