Show This Week's RECIPE . . . Here is a recipe which Mrs. Nolan Beaird wishes to pass on to you, hoping that you'll enjoy these doughnuts as much as she and her family do. ORANGE DROP DOUGHNUTS Beat together thoroughly: 2 tbs. shortening cup sugar 2 eggs Y2 tsp. vanilla 3 tsp. of grated orange rind Stir in 1 cup milk Sift and blend in 3 cups of flour, 14 tsp. salt, 4 tsp. baking bak-ing powder Beat well and drop by small teaspoonsful in hot fat iy2 inches deep. Cook till brown; then roll doughnut in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. |
