Miss Gwennita Curry spent spring vacation at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Curry. She suffered a broken nose, when the car in which she was riding had to make a quick stop. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Laris and sons, Dennis and Michael, were Salt Lake City business callers last week. Among University of Utah students stu-dents enjoying the spring vacation at home was Joyce Jordan. She was accompanied last Friday by her fiance, Cal Aubrey, who returned re-turned to Salt Lake City earlier in the week. During spring vacation at the University, John Ruppel accompanied accom-panied the Varsity Band to Las Vegas for an assignment. Mr. and Mrs. Anthon B. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and children attended the basketball tournament in Provo last Thursday night. Mrs. Chris- tensen and children spent the remainder re-mainder of the week visiting in Delta. C. W. Bodily, of Gusher, is at his home . now, after receiving medical treatment in a Salt Lake Hospital. Overjoyed over the arrival of a new baby son are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ferron. Francis Earl, the new infant, made entrance into the world March 12 at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital, weighing 71bs. 10 oz. Besides his parents he has two brothers and three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ferron, Roosevelt, Roose-velt, and Earl Eggleston, Salt Lake City, who are all walking on air. Mrs. Clem Labrum, Kay and Val attended the basketball tournament tour-nament in Provo last week and then went into Salt Lake, where Kay had a dental appointment Saturday. Salt Lake City visitors this week are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison. Harri-son. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harmston returned Tuesday night after spending several days in Moab visiting the Howard Harmston family, and also a few days in Denver. Mrs. Crystal Broderick returned Tuesday night from Salt Lake City, where she recently underwent under-went an operation. Congratulations to the Bert Gardners, who are the proud parents par-ents of a new son, born Friday at the Heber City Hospital. The little fellow weighed six pounds. He has two brothers and a sister waiting wait-ing his arrival home. Ampng BYU students home last weekend were Renae Eldredge and Janice Anderton. David Wilson spent the weekend week-end with his father, Seth Wilson and family. Visiting Tuesday with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Hollis Hullinger, was Mrs. John McKay, of Los Angeles, Ange-les, who is visiting in Vernal a few weeks with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Page and family, of Ogden, spent Saturday and Sunday at the Sam Page home. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hall spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week in Denver, purchasing purchas-ing equipment for the new Tire Shop they are opening in VernaL Dr. and Mrs. D. G. Mantyla were business visitors in Salt Lake City, Wednesday. Mrs. George Buchanan is in Salt Lake City recovering from a recent re-cent operation undergone in the LDS Hospital. She has been released re-leased from the hospitai and is getting along fine. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Snow left Monday morning for a business I trip to San Francisco. They were accompanied as far as Salt Lake City by Mrs. Dwain Buchanan and twins, Jack and Jill. |
