Show BRIDGELAND Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee Wedding Shower Honors Couple private and Mrs. Lloyd Brady were honored at a wedding shower at the Bridgeland ward house on Thursday evening. A large crowd from Bridgeland and Arcadia attended, where they enjoyed the following program: pro-gram: song, Ronald Lisonbee; clarinet solo, Lloyd Carlson, accompanied ac-companied by Janice Anderton, j both of Roosevelt; skit, by Mrs. Evelyn Mullins, of Arcadia; ' song, by Louise Liddell; song, by Mrs. Grace Larsen, of Arcadia; Ar-cadia; accordion solo, 'by Mrs. Lloyd Brady; duet, by Kent Jensen and Jay Jensen, of Arcadia; Ar-cadia; vocal solo', by Mrs. Norma Nor-ma Hansen, of Arcadia; duet, by Naomi Gilbert and Pauline Larsen, of Arcadia. LaMar Neilsen acted as master mas-ter of ceremonies. Mrs. Ethel Taylor and Mrs. Hazel Walters , were in charge of the gift table. Oh their return trip they were accompanied accom-panied by their sister, Mary Barker, who plans a short visit in Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. Norman Larra-bee Larra-bee and daughter, Joan, of Eureka Eu-reka were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Liddell Mr. and Mrs. Evan P Wright of Salt Lake City, visited briefly with Ronald Lisonbee on Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. Wright was Ronald's mission president when he served ser-ved a mission in South Africa two years ago. The Wrights were enroute to their home in bait Lake City from a business trip to St. Louis, Missouri. Bertie Lisonbee is visiting relatives in Salt Lake City and South Jordan. The Bridgeland girls Softball team played with Tabiona at Tabiona, Wednesday. The game was won by the Bridg-eland team. Mr. and Mrs. Merl Jennings, Sr. and Mrs. Jack Edwards went to Salt Lake City during the week, where they met Jack Edwards, Ed-wards, of Las Vegas, Nevada, who arrived to join his wife and children on their" vacation here and at Myton with the Charles and Vern Edwards families. fam-ilies. Mr. Jennings consulted a doctor while in Salt Lake Mr. and Mrs. J. Alma Smith attended a funeral at Provo last week for their son, Roe's mother-in-law. FAMILY REUNION Eighty - two descendents of Benjamin and Amy Bromley and five visitors met at Danials Canyon Sunday, Aug. 23, at a family reunion. Attending from here were: Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee and daughter, Bertie and Shelley, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ron-ald Lisonbee, Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Lisonbee and baby Kim. Mr. and Mrs. Louie Wyman, of Loveland, Colo., visited on Thursday with Bishop and Mrs Carl Van Tassell. They were enroute to their home in Colo, from their honeymoon. Mr. and Mrs. Don Shelton were Salt Lake City business visitors during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith and children, of Springville, spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. J. Alma Smith Mr. and Mrs.. Chas. Edwards, of Myton. visited Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee, Saturday evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Wardle and son, Darrell, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs Don Shelton. SPECIAL PROGRAM A very special program was presented at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening when Wen-del Wen-del Johnson, Seminary teacher of Union High, gave a most inspiring in-spiring sermon. Mr. Johnson was accompanied here by a Mr. Ensign, who spoke briefly. Special Spe-cial music for the evening was a vocal solo by Allen Gines, accompanied ac-companied by his sister, Patsy Gines, of Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Merk-ley, Merk-ley, of Salt Lake City, visited at the Roy Taylor home Monday. Mon-day. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Abplan-alp, Abplan-alp, of Utahn, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith, Sunday. Sunday visitors of Mr and Mrs. Elden Brady were Mr. and Mrs. Arden Petersen and family, fam-ily, of Murray, and Mrs. Emma Rasmussen, of Provo. Sunday evening Mrs. Edith Brady, her mother, Mrs. Ernma Rasmussen, Mrs. Ida Petersen and Mrs. Ronald Lisonbee motored mo-tored to Vernal to' visit Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warren. . Mr. and Mrs. Reed Betts and daughter, of Salt Lake City, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gail. Mr. Betts is a brother of Mrs. Gail. Roy Taylor and Glen Van Tassell took a load of lambs to the Salt Lake Stock Yards on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wright and little daughters, Carolyn and Lynda, of Utahn, were Sunday visitors at the Malcolm Walters home. |
