Show Obitauary LAURA E. HARD MAN The funeral for Mrs. Delbert Hardman. the former Laura Evans, Ev-ans, was held Friday, Aug. 21 in the Nibley Park Ward in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hardman died after a lingering illness, leaving a family of five children. chil-dren. Her relatives from Mt. Emmons who attended the services ser-vices were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Evans and Don, Mr. and Mrs. Woodard Evans and two children, chil-dren, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Crosby. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Thacker were in Altamont over the weekend to visit relatives. They are living in Lyman, Wyoming, where Mr. Thacker has been working. Mr. and Mrs. Less Orr entertained enter-tained relatives over the weekend week-end from Friday till Monday. They were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Allen and three sons, of Vernal, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nielson and son, of Salt Lake City. Miss Revella Wall returned home last week from Lyman, Wyoming, after a three weeks' stay with her sister and broth-1 er-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thacker, who visited over the weekend with Thackers and Walls. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thacker Thack-er have been moved from Lyman Ly-man to Coalville, Utah in his work. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Nielson and boys visited with the Youngs on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Jenkins, of Othello. Wash., visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad McConkie and family Thursday and Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cook and five children were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell. They took their son, David, back with them to their home in Salt Lake City. He has been staying with his grandparents grand-parents for most of the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Bill DeVries and two sons, of Salt Lake City, spent Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. DeVries' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case. Ray Hansen and three children, chil-dren, of Salt Lake City, spent Wednesday and Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen and family. Mr. and Mrs, Fred Thacker are spending their week's vacation vaca-tion at Moon Lake. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thacker - joined them Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs. Alma L. Evans went to Salt Lake City several days ago with Mr. and Mrs. Laren Beck-stead. Beck-stead. She is presently staying with Mr. and Mrs. Hartley Palmer Pal-mer in Tooele. OVERNIGHT HIKE The Stake Gleaner Overnight Hike was held last Friday and Saturday at Moon Lake. Mrs. Lester Maxfield is the Stake Gleaner leader and there were I four other adult leaders to ac-I ac-I company the 20 girls who attended. at-tended. They hiked Friday afternoon, af-ternoon, and had a bonfire and program that evening. Lois Sadler Sad-ler and Gayle Case attended from Mt. Emmons. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing last Sunday were Mary Reay, Sidney Rust and Hugo Mitchell. The Mt. Emmons Ladies' Lad-ies' Sextet offered a vocal number. num-ber. Mr. and Mrs. DesMoines Anderson An-derson went to Salt Lake City and Ephraim over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Smouse and son, Dewey, of Farmington, New Mexico, visited last weekend week-end with Mr. and Mrs. LaFarge Dastrup. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stevenson Steven-son and family and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stevenson and family fam-ily spent Sunday at Moon Lake. Doyle Gibson, of Manassah, Colo., spent a few days last week with Don Evans and his family. Mrs. Bruce Hartman was given giv-en a surprise birthday party by her family last Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hartman. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hartman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Floid Hartman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman and family were there in addition to her own family. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hassing, of Ft. Worth. Texas, and boys spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. LaFarge Dastrup. Daniel Crumbe and Jack Sil-verstien, Sil-verstien, of Houston, Texas, visited vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Kolb Friday and Saturday of last week. |
