Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken Lynn Bracken To Serve Church As A Missionary Lynn Bracken, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken, will enter en-ter the L.D.S. Mission Home in Salt Lake City, Sept. 18, and from there will go to the West Central State mission to labor as a missionary for two years. His wife, the former Dorothy Ellertson, plans on staying in Tooele with her parents during-his during-his absence. Lynn has attended the B.Y.U. at Provo for the past two years. Mrs. Jesse Butcher accompanied accompan-ied her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dudley, Dud-ley, of Jensen, to the Arrowhead Arrow-head Resort near Payson, Aug. 8 to attend a Dudley reunion. Mary Hullinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger, returned home last week from Mesa, Arizona, where she has spent the summer at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Brimhall. Mrs. Glen Eldredge received a phone call from her husband, who was at Camp Stoneman, Calif., that he was leaving on Friday morning to sail to Japan. Mrs. Eldredge plans on leaving for Salt Lake City soon, where she will be enrolled at Hena-ger's Hena-ger's Business College. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook, Mrs. Jack Cook, Mrs. Earl Gardner went to Salt Lake City and participated par-ticipated in the Temple excursion excur-sion on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Others Oth-ers from Ballard were Mr. and Mrs Wendel Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Brighton, Mrs. Charles Bingham and Mr. and Mrs. Don Killian. Mrs. Glen Broderick and two children, of Salt Lake City, spent the past week visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen. Mr. Broderick came out on Sunday to take them home. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Simper and family spent Thursday evening eve-ning visiting at the home of Mrs. Simper's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis Morrill at Tridell. Lester Harris and son, of Sandy, San-dy, were visitors at the home of Mr. Harris' sister. Mrs. Chas. Bingham, one day last week. Mrs. Effie Winn accompanied her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Labrum, to their home at Rexburg, Idaho, where she will visit awhile. Mrs. Mont S. Poulson and daughter, Joan, were visitors at the Tom Shisler home on Saturday. Sat-urday. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Jenkins, who has been down from Washington, Wash-ington, called on Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins last week. Miss Eula Brighton, of Salt Lake City, has been home for a short visit. She came to attend at-tend the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Don Killian. Rev. and Mrs. Ferris Winn and two daughters left for Arizona Ar-izona last week after spending their vacation- with relatives and friends in the Basin. |
