Show Women Urged To Take Active Part h Go. Fair By Mary Lois Reichert The supervisors of the Women's Wo-men's Department, Thelma Nye, Marian Reese, and Mary Lois Reichert, would like to encourage encour-age every woman in Duchesne County to take an active part in the County Fair. We would like to see every family represented repre-sented in some way. The judging of the women's department will be done Thursday, Thurs-day, Sept. 3. However, this is closed to the public. We will be at the Exhibit Building on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Sept. 2, from 9:00 a.m. to' 6:00 p.m. to accept the exhibits. exhib-its. They will also be accepted until 10:00 a.m. and NO exhibits exhib-its will be accepted after that time. We would appreciate it if the exhibits would arrive on Sept. 2. Judging this year will be on the Danish system, and there will be no cash awards. The judges will be Naomi Jensen, Jen-sen, home demonstration agent, Summit County; Naomi Lunt, Vernal, and LaBerle Gutzman, Ft. Duchesne. (Continued on back page) Women Urged . . This year the Home Economics Econom-ics exhibits will be open on Sept. 4, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sept. 5. 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The new division, the Teen-Age Teen-Age competition, was created as a place for the young people, who are not in 4-H. There are two classes here: Class a exhibitors ex-hibitors within the age range of 15 years and under; and Class b exhibitors within the age range of 16 and 19 years inclusive. in-clusive. Here, exhibits in canning, baking, 'clothing, needlework, arts and crafts will be accepted and ribbons awarded. . This year we also have several sev-eral special awards: The Kerr Glass Manufacturing Company, Fleishman Yeast award, and also al-so the National Crochet Contest. Another new feature this year is the awarding of purple ribbons rib-bons to- any exhibit which they would recommend being sent to the State Fair.
