Show Mrs. Wayne Malin is in the I Salt Lake LDS hospital, where ' she underwent a maior operation opera-tion last week. Reports are that she is feeling better, but will remain in the hospital approximately ap-proximately ten days. Wayne left Wednesday to visit her. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Nixon were Salt Lake visitors last week-end, where Mr. Nixon attended a J. C. Penney convention until Monday. Mrs. Nixon returned home Sunday. Alva Snow, Matt Foley and Stanley Hall attended a business meeting in Salt Lake Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison Harri-son left Wednesday morning for California, where they will meet Mrs. Jessie Robison, who has spent the winter in Honolulu Hono-lulu with her daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. George Stew-1 art spent the forepart of the week in Salt Lake City. Marion Bowman was a business busi-ness visitor in Salt Lake City and Logan, Sunday and Monday. Salt Lake City, Bingham and Price visitors last week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Laris. Mrs. Gordon Harmston. Mrs. Paul Stringham, Mrs. Howard 1 Harrison and Mrs. Bob Huish were Salt Lake City visitors Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hislop have moved back to Roosevelt after spending the past three months in Vernal, where they ! operated the Gateway cafe. I Mrs. Hislop plans to visit with her children in California. j Salt Lake visitors last Saturday Satur-day were Mrs. George Stewart, Stew-art, Mrs. Parley Rawlings and Mrs. Orson Stevens. I Sgt. Ray P. Johnstun return-led return-led to Hamilton Field. Calif., last Saturday, after spending a week here with his mother, Mrs. N. K. Johnstun. He was a guest at the Walt Redmond home Thursday for dinner. Floyd Redmond was also a guest. Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and son, Douglas, spent several days last week visiting in Rupert, Idaho, with Mrs. Christensen's sister, Mrs. Doris Hyde, and family. Mrs. Hyde accompanied them as far as Springville on their return trip, where she will visit her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jordan returned re-turned home last Friday after a two-week vacation. They visited vis-ited in Ogden, Salt Lake City and St. George. Enroute home they stopped at Mt. Pleasant to see their daughter. Joyce, who is attending Wasatch Acad-' Acad-' emy. Mr. and Ms. Omni Winterton spent last week-end attending I the Utah Horse and Cattle Growers convention, held at the iNewhouse hotel in Salt Lake. Friday evening Mrs. Winterton attended a banquet for the Cow-belles, Cow-belles, an auxiliary to the men's association. The Wintertons had returned the previous week from a 3Vz I weeks vacation to Canada and several eastern states. They also attended a Minneapolis-Molina dealers convention in Minneapolis, Minne-apolis, reporting a wonderful time. Mrs. Eugene Harmston and ( daughter, Mrs. George Miller, spent last Thursday, Friday and I Saturday in Salt Lake City. W. H. Stone returned to Roos-i Roos-i evelt last week, after spending j the winter months visiting in San Francisco, Los Angeles and in Long Beach, where he was a guest of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arveil Brown. He also visited two' sisters sis-ters and a brother in San Diego. Mrs. Jay Peterson and children, chil-dren, Kathie and Terry, of Blairsden, Calif., are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George F. Buchanan, while her husband is attending a forestry school in Santa Barbara. Mr. Peterson, a graduate of Brigham Young University is now employed with the U. S. Forest Service. Mrs. Presley Timothy, accompanied accom-panied by her son, Wayne, Mrs. I Zola Spencer, Mrs. Maxine Peterson Pet-erson and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hancock, left last Saturday for Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. Peterson's Pet-erson's home. Mrs. Peterson has been visiting in Neola with her mother, Mrs. Spencer. The i group will visit with the Petersons Peter-sons for a week before returning return-ing home. |
