Show Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee Welfare Benefit Banquet Enjoyed A banquet was held at the Bridgeland ward Thursday evening eve-ning for the benefit of the building build-ing fund. Twelve tables were cleverly decorated to represent each of the months of the year. Joe Clayburn acted as master of ceremonies. After the bounteous turkey dinner the large crowd enjoyed a pleasant evening of dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Jennings visited Monday with their daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Williams, at Bluebell. Blue-bell. A Wednesday night guest of Judy Halladay was Diane McDonald, Mc-Donald, of Duchesne. Norma Murphy was a Thursday Thurs-day night guest at the home of Phylis Yergenson, of Myton. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith, returned Wednesday from Mesa, Arizona, where they had spent the past three months. They were joined at Salt Lake by their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith, who came home with them. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Linke was broken into land robbed of various articles last Wednesday while Mr. Linke 'was shopping in Roosevelt. Mrs. Linke is visiting in California. The men responsible were caught. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Johnson and children, of Provo. visited over the week-end with relatives. rela-tives. Dean Beal came from Price I and took his brothers and sis-iters sis-iters to Salt Lake Sunday to visit their father, Austin Beal, whe recently underwent a serious ser-ious operation. j Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Jennings are driving a new car. Bishop and Mrs. George A. Lang and son, of Utahn, visited vis-ited Sunday school this week, while Bishop and Mrs. Carl Van Tassell spent Sunday visiting vis-iting the Utahn Sunday school. Mrs. Mavis Williams and little lit-tle daughters, Janet and Becky, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Jennings. Mrs. J. A. Halladay enter tained lor ner aaugnier, juay, Saturday afternoon at a surprise sur-prise birthday party. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by Louise Liddell, Norma Mae Murphy, Bertie Lisonbee, Lu-Jean Lu-Jean Jennings, Emma Jean Price and Judy. J. R; Clayburn visited several days this week at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thomas, at Tabiona. Mrs. Edna Shelton has received re-ceived word of the death of her brother, Fred Case, at Bur-ley, Bur-ley, Idaho. The Shelton family ,left for Idaho Friday to attend funeral services.. Ruth Walters spent the weekend week-end at Utahn at the home other ot-her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wright. President and Mrs. Voy Fairbanks, Fair-banks, Superintendent Dean C. Christensen, of Duchesne, and Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Lang, of Utahn, visited the Bridgeland ward Sunday evening. J. Marchant and Mrs. Lula Allman, of Peoa, are visiting the Carl and Glen . VanTassell families. Van Keel and sons, of Price, brought his mother, Mrs. Mina Keel out to spend a week visiting vis-iting at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Chastie Neilsen. Mr. and Mrs. Thure Carlson and children, of Roosevelt, spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gail. |
