Mr. Murdock's letter, delivered to the commissioners by county agent, Lloyd Smith, designated these areas: "All the farming and agricultural land and winter range from the Boneta area bench west to include Mtn. Home and Talmage and as far south to include winter grazing graz-ing on Bluebench. The crops in this area are only one-third of normal and many of the pastures are so completly burned up that we feel that even though we should have rain next year, they will be dead." Also: "Winter grazing land south of Myton to the Uintah County line, then west to include all that area that is used for winter grazing." graz-ing." Mr. Murdock pointed out that the first-named area has had no rain at all this year and the last has had only two light showers. |
