It was no contest after Union scored in the opening minutes of the game and piled up an 18-0 halftime lead. The Cougars scored on a march down the field after the kickoff. Norman Dye went over for the score. Benson's try for point was wide. Park City couldn't move, lost yardage on penalties and the Cougars Coug-ars got the ball again on the Park City 25. Three plays later, Dye went over again. The try for point was wide. I Late in the second quarter, the Cougars had Park City pushed back deep in its own territory and halfback Creig Ross intercepted a pass and rambled 28 yards for a touchdown. Moulton's conversion try was no good. In the third stanza, with the second team in, the teams exchanged ex-changed fumbles and after the last Park City miscue, Glendon Mal-nar Mal-nar plunged through for 11 yards and a touchdown and Fred Evans broke a long Cougar jinx by kicking kick-ing the' extra point to make it 25-0. The final period saw Park City score and also saw them confound the Cougars with a quick kick that started at their goal and rolled dead on the Union 20. |
