Show IOKA (Mrs. Berlha AnguJ0s A very large crowd attended the M I A Gold and Green ball Thursday night. Those taking part in the floor show were: Mr. and Mrs. Russel Robison, Mr. and Mrs. James Lemon, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lemon. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Winterton, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines, Evan Percival and Pearl Workman, Florence Percival and Wade Nelson, Clayton Webb and Leona Johnson. Florence Percival Perc-ival was voted queen, with Loya Lemon andGlcna Dart as her attendants. at-tendants. A pleasing feature of the evening was a dance by two seven-year-old children, John Percival and Evyland Faucett. Music for the evening was furnished furn-ished by a seven piece orchestra from Vernal. Boyd Lemon returned home Friday from a five day 4-H leadership lead-ership training school at Logan. Mrs. Hazel Wall and daughter returned home Saturday after an extended visit in Logan. Ruth Benson visited several days with her parents. She returned re-turned to Salt Lake Sunday where she is attending the University Uni-versity of Utah. Doyal Lloyd and Jim Zobell have the cement blocks for the construction of houses on their property. George Evans of Upalco visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Percival on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scott of Provo arrived Sunday night to visit Mrs. Scott's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Percival. Arlo and Lyle Stott of Payson visited their aunt, Mrs. Zelma Lloyd on Wednesday. Arlo has just returned from Iwo Jima and Lyle from the Philippines. Both have been discharged. ' Jessie Benson and Paul Miles of Salt-Lake spent the week end with relatives here. Wilford Bastian and son, J. Golden Bastain of Vernal were speakers in sacrament meeting Sunday. Edna Angus attended Sunday school conference in Myton Ward Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fuller Merrell and sons, Leo, Delroy and Ray, of Vernal visited at the Angus home Saturday. The MIA took their floor show to Randlett Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Orie Cook and sons, Lynn and Edgar, were Ioka visitors Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Benson announce an-nounce the marriage of their son, Jessie, to Miss Stella Dansic of Salt Lake. The wedding will take place Monday, March 25 in the Salt Lake Temple. John Asa Webb of Bluebell visited his grandmother Saturday. Satur-day. Gam Lloyd is visiting his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd. Gam has been stationed at Camp Kearns. The annual meeting of the Sand Wash Irrigation Co. was held March 6 at the Archie Benson Ben-son home. Charles Percival was elected president, John Spencer vice president, D. P. Hambleton and Russel Robison directors and Archie Benson secretary. |
