Show Eliza Beebe Rites HeldAtAltonah Eliza Olive Beebe, 85. died at her home in Altonah Saturday morning, March 9, at 5:50 a.m. after a four weeks Illness. She was born October 31, 1861 at Millcreek, Salt Lake County, a daughter of Warren Lane and Eliza Mariah Ivie Foote. She married mar-ried Oscar F. Beebe, December 22, 1880 in the St. George L D S Temple. He died in 1926. Mrs. Beebe was an active church worker, serving as president pres-ident of the Relief Society in Castle Dale for a number of years. Before moving to Altonah in 1919 she lived in Provo and at Vernal. Surviving Mrs. Beebe are a daughter, Mrs. May Browning of Salt Lake City; five sons, Frank, Warren, Gilbert and Austin Beebe of Altonah and Charles Beebe of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, George Foote of Ferron, Frank Foote of Gunnison, Charles Foote of Salt Lake City, and Homer Foote of Kanab; and three sisters, Mrs. Theda DeHaven of Duchesne, Mrs. Effie Green of California and Mrs. Clara Olsen of . Kanab, Utah. Funeral services for Mrs. Beebe were held in the Altonah ward chapel Monday, March 11 at 12:15 p.m. with Bishop Glen E. Mohlman conducting. The services were as follows: opening song, "In The Garden' by Mrs. Georgia Shiner and Miss Jean Holder accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Elva Snyder: invocation. in-vocation. George BerTett; duet, "That Wonderful Mother Of Mine". Mrs. Ruth Dastjup and Mrs. Madora Mecham; speaker, C. N. .Shiner; duet, Mrs." Dastrup and Mrs. Mecham; speakers, Ed Davis and Grant Foote; closing song "Before Thee. Lord, I Bow My Head" Mrs. Ellen Madsen. Mrs. Edith Allred, Mrs. Ethel Foote. and Mrs. Grorgla Shiner; benediction. Lester Maxfield. Interment was in the Vernal cemetery with Josenh Olpin dedicating ded-icating the grave. Charles, Warren, War-ren, Gilbert, Austin and Oscar Beebe and Leslie Boswell served as pallbearers. |
