Show FOUR BASIN RESIDENTS ENTER ARMY UNDER NEW ENLISTMENT PROGRAM The Army district recruiting office at Provo listed, in a recent announcement, the names of four Uintah Basin boys who had been accepted for enlistment in the U. S. Army, Under the newly adopted adopt-ed enlistment policy the four enlistees are: Jewel L. Hoyt, son of Mary L. Hoyt, Duchesne; John L. Keel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Keel, Ncola; Harold W. Duncan, son of Ivan Duncan and husband of Maria Duncan, Roosevelt Roos-evelt and Clair Duncan, son of Joseph Duncan, Rout 2, Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Mr. Hoyt applied for a three-year three-year enlistment, selecting the air corps as his branch of the service, ser-vice, and the European theatre of operations as the area in ! which he preferred to serve. 1 Messrs Keel, Harold Duncan and Clair Duncan enlisted for an eighteen months period, and were given no option, therefore, in the selection of a service branch or a theatre of operations. According to Captain R. C. Henderson, officer in charge of the district recruiting office, an a.rmy recruiting team will again visit Roosevelt on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 19 and 20 to accept enlistments in the regular army and to answer inquiries relative to the service The team will headquarter at the Roosevelt Roose-velt post office. i |
