Bill has been in the Navy over four years and has seen most of the Naval engagements engage-ments in the Pacific. Sam Herron's home and store caught fire early Tuesday morning. morn-ing. Sam is very greatful to the fire department. He says its speed and efficiency saved his property from what might have been a very disastrous fire. Verl Lee of Lapoint spent the week end with John Day. Mrs. Austin Beal and sons, Dean and Larry were Wednesday Wednes-day visitors at the home of Lawrence Law-rence Odekirk.
