Ronald Cook and family of Salt Lake City have been visiting visit-ing the past week with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. D, I. Wilson Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gagon announce an-nounce the arrival of a baby girl, born January 7 at the Roosevelt hospital. They were former residents resi-dents of Lapoint. Sherman Taylor of Meeker, Colorado visited his mother, Mrs. Roxa Taylor and other relatives here on Tuesday. Craig Caldwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Caldwell and Donald Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen arrived home during the week on a furlough. Both boys have been at Camp Roberts and Ft. Benning, Georgia, taking train ing as Paratroopers. " They will return to duly Sunday, January 21. Blaine Caldwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Caldwell also al-so surprised his parents by coming com-ing home on a furlough Sunday. Blaine took his basic training at Farragut. Idaho, and has been overseas the past while. He will be here for 20 days. Memorial exercises will be held Sunday, January 21 at 2 o'clock in the Lapoint chapel for Ferris Harrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harrison who was accidently killed by a falling tree on December 16 in the South Pacific. Alvin Weeks and other Stake Board members of the Sunday School of Vernal attended Sunday Sun-day school here Sunday. Mrs. Jessie Neumeyer left during the week for Ogden to visit her mother, Mrs. Mary Taylor Tay-lor and her daughter, Orbie. Mrs. Lillio Bigelow returned home on Saturday after a two week visit in Ogden with her daughter, Mrs. Orvel Hullinger and family and her mother, Mrs. E. L. Hair in Salt Lake City. |
