Show gXSX5XSX5X5XSX5XSXS5 BLUEBELL S2s5SS5X5XSXSX5?X5 Fred Goodrich and his son Evan Ev-an took a load of livestock out to the Stock yards on Sunday for William Hancock of Pleasant Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Mathews and Albert were dinner guests of Mrs. Edith Mathews of Upalco on Friday. The dinner was in honor of Mrs. Edith Mathew's son Charles, who recently returned re-turned from overseas and is spending his furlough at his home in Upalco. Primary classes have been changed from Wednesday until Monday. A party was held honoring Corporal Donald Burdick who was home on furlough. A program pro-gram was rendered after which dancing followed. A good time was had by all present. Max Burdick Bur-dick of Salt Lake City and a brother was also present at the party. Miss Deanne Case, Myrna, Elaine and Floyd Madsen, Floyd Case, Mrs. F. A. Case and Flight Officer Keith Case who is home on furlough all of Mt. Emmons were visiting relatives here on Tuesday. A committee was chosen at correlation meeting on Sunday to write monthly letters to all the soldier boys from this ward. The committee chosen was Lenore Lisonbee, Martha Smith, Vivian Powell, Cora Wathen, Iva Bird and Garda Seeley. Anyone wishing wish-ing to add to these letters may do so by contacting the committee. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Remington Reming-ton returned home on last Monday Mon-day night from Provo where they had been to consult an eye specialist concerning Mrs. Remington's Rem-ington's eye. Mrs. Remington may have to return again for further attention. John Thorsen spent a few days in Salt Lake City this week. Mrs. Cora Wathen and daughter daugh-ter Karen Ruth returned home from Salt Lake City and Lehi where she has spent the past ten days visiting. Charles Mathews, Mrs. Edith Mathews of Upalco and Mrs. Thelma Barker of Bridgeland spent Friday evening visiting at the Claud Mathew's home. The Primary Officers held their monthly officer's meeting at the Ward Hall on Wednesday evening. They are making plans for April Conference. Mrs. Winfred Smith of Oregon spent two days here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Marland Lott of Kamas spent Thursday night with Mr. and Mrs. Lavon At-wood At-wood then on Friday they went to Mt. Emmons where they enjoyed en-joyed a family dinner. A large crowd from here at-attended at-attended P T A at Mt. Emmons on Saturday evening. Bert Allred arrived here on Monday to spend his furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Allred. Bert is still stationed sta-tioned at Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Hosca Lisonbee were visiting in Roosevelt and Duchesne on Wednesday. |
