Show Ernest H. Haves Ernest H. Hayes, 85, died of natural causes Oct. 20, 1985 at his home in Bountiful. HE WAS born Oct. 8, 1900 in Ammon, Ida., a son of Ernest A. Hayes and Francis Adeline Harrison Harri-son Hayes. He moved to Bountiful with his parents in 1907 where he has since resided. He was a member of the LDS Church and a High Priest in the Bountiful 21st Ward. He married Veda Sedgwick in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 6, 1923. He was a well known contractor but also farmed and was the master mechanic for Cudahay Packing Company for many yaers. HE ALSO served as a distribution distribu-tion supervisor for the newspaper and enjoyed his association with the newsboys. He was an avid out-doorsman. out-doorsman. He is survived by his wife and sons Darwin S. Hayes, Bountiful; Larry E. Hayes, Midland, Mich.; daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marva) Wood, Orem; and Mrs. Scott (LaRene) Steele, Bountiful. He has 16 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Frank, Bountiful and Mark, Canoga Park, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Edward (Eva) Arring-ton, Arring-ton, Bountiful. FUNERAL services were held Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the Bountiful Bounti-ful 21st Ward Chapel. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery under the direction of Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. |
