Show Funeral Held Wednesday For Mrs. Lena Bradley Impressive funeral services were held in the ward chapel Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Lena Bradley, elderly lady of this city. Royal Allred of the Bishopric presided. The ward choir sang, "Sister Thou Wast Mild and Lovely"; Invocation, James F. Ellis; Song by the choir, "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand"; Bishop Pack of Manti, the first speaker, spoke of sister Peterson as an Angel of Mercy in caring for her mother. She has merited a place in the Kingdom of God. He requested re-quested the family to pattern after their mother, for she has lived a good life. Mrs. Lillian Armstrong of Manti read a poem of her composition, com-position, "She Is Gone, My Mother"; Moth-er"; a vocal solo, "I Have Read Of A Beautiful City," was sung by Miss Norma Jackson of Eph-raim. Eph-raim. John S. Blain, in his talk, said he had known sister. Bradley all of his life. She was a real pioneer pio-neer and has worked very hard during her life. In her declining years she has ben taken care of very well. She and her parents were good pioneer people and were faithful all their lives. Vocal solo, "In The Garden," was sung by Miss Jackson. Floyd Draper of the Bishopric said he deemed it an honor to say a few words this day. Not alone !for sister Bradley, but a privilege I to honor and pay tribute to some 1 one we know. She had lived her life to the fullest extent. He quoted from the 23rd psalm and asked the family to retain the pleasant memories of her and their home. Royal Allred, in the closing remarks, re-marks, also said he had known her all his life. She contributed much to the church. He asked God's blessings on this family. The closing song was sung bv the choir, "Abide With Me." The benediction was offerede by Wm. E. Robinson. Pall bearers were members and close friends of the family. Floral offerings were carried from the building by grand children chil-dren of Mrs. Bradley. Interment was in the City cemetery cem-etery where the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by John S. Blain. |
