FOUNTAIN CXESN I By Special Correspondence I Marriages In the Manti L D S temple on March 20th Miss Ethelyn Allred of Fountain Green and Mr. Don Bailey of Nephi were united in marriage by President L. R. Anderson. And-erson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Allred and was employed for some time as a stenogragher at the R.F.C. in Salt Lake City. The bridegroom is the son of IMrs. L. A. Bailey. He has fulfilled ful-filled a mission to the Southern States and after 3'-2 years in the U. S. Service was recently released. re-leased. After an extended honeymoon honey-moon they will make their home in Nephi. Miss La Priel Aagard. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Aagard. and Walter Meville of Salt Lake City took their marriage vows in the Manti L. D. S. temple March 26th with President L. R. Anderson Ander-son officiating. The bride has been a nurse at the L. D. S. hospital hos-pital for several years. The bridegroom bride-groom is attending the Stanford University at Palo Alto, California, Califor-nia, where' after the ceremony will leave to make their home for the summer. Miss Odessa Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Cook, became the bride of Asael Olsen, son of Mrs. Minnie Olsen Thursday Thurs-day March 14th. They are spending spend-ing their honeymoon in California. Califor-nia. The bride has been employed em-ployed for some time in Salt Lake City. The bridegroom has recently recent-ly been released from the Service where he spent 3H years. Mrs. Oleta Bailey and Mrs. Deon Anderson, daughters of Mrs. Linda Allred entertained in her honor at a birthday dinner Friday, March 22nd. Fourteen guests enjoyed a most delicious chicken dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Adam have returned from Arkansas, where they have spent the past winter months. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Anderson and sons, Terry and Morris of Wales visited during the week with relatives Mrs. Margaret Smyth of Los Angeles, Califronia and Nephi Anderson of Provo, Utah were the guests of Mrs. Caroline Johnson March 22nd. Mrs. Dorothy Draper of Salt Lake City is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Hallie Coombs. Mrs. Maida Allred is in a Lehi hospital where she is receiving medical treatment. Visitors from Logan during the week were, Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nielson and daughter, Nancy Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mower and son, Michael and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Reynolds and daughter, Carol Jean. Mrs. Zeola Gee is visiting for a few days with her daughter of Lehi, Utah. Mrs. Mary E. Holman has returned re-turned from Santaquin, where she has been visiting her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Zola Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hansen have left Los Angeles, where they will make their home. Mrs. A. E. Carter entertained at a birthday dinner in honor of a son, Stanley carter of Moroni and a daughter, Mrs. Fern Fran-corn Fran-corn of Levan, whose birthdays occurred on the same date, Mar. 17th. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Ivory and daughter, Dora spent Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake City. Mayor Lyman Seely, Arvard Aagard, E. M. Ivory and Richard Pearmain attended a meeting at Richfield Monday, March 25th that was held for the purpose of promoting Centennial and Beautification Beau-tification projects. |
