Show John F. Justesen Dies at Spring City John F. Justesen, 75, passed away at his home, Monday evening, eve-ning, after a serious illness of some time. Mr. Justesen was born October 18, 1870 in Spring City, Utah, a son of Rasmus Justesen, a native of Denmark and Sarah Ann Shepherd Shep-herd Justesen, born in England. Mr. Justesen has been a resident resi-dent of Spring City his entire life, and has been most faithful in promoting civic affairs, being prominent in State and County politics, County activities and serving as Republican County Chairman for some time. He was manager of the Spring City Co-op store for twelve years, City Mayor for three terms, City Water Master one term, County Road Supervisor, Postmaster foi sixteen years, having retired from the latter in 1933. His occupation oc-cupation was farming and sheep raising. Mr. Justesen married Lola Jane Allred, daughter of the late Bishop Bish-op James A. Allred in Spring City November, 1895. They were the parents of eight children. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lola J. Justesen of this city, and seven daughters, Mrs. Cleo Mil-lerschoen, Mil-lerschoen, Mrs. Cora Thompson, Los Angeles,' Calif.; Mrs. Edith Andersen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Hazel Robinson, Bingham Canyon; Can-yon; Mrs. Maxine Peterson, Eph-raim; Eph-raim; Mrs. Inez Monsen, Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Winona All-red, All-red, Spring City. Also surviving are ten living grand children, and the following follow-ing brothers and sisters, Joseph Justesen, Charles Justesen, Earnest Earn-est Justesen, Spring City; Benjamin Ben-jamin Justesen, Dragerton; Mrs. Edith Cook, Fountain Green; Mrs. Leah Strate, Mrs. Alta Faux, Miss Bernice Justesen, Provo and Mrs. Clara Beck, Spring City. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Saturday at 1 o'clock in the ward chapel. Interment will be in the City cemetery, under the direction of the Jacobs Mortuary Mor-tuary of Mt. Pleasant. |
