Show Marriage Announced Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley of Nephi, Utah announce the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, May Wilkey to Mr. Wilbur S. Baxter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Baxter Bax-ter of this icty. The marriage was performed in the Manti Temple, March 21, 1946, with President Anderson officiating in the ceremony. A reception was held in the Nephi South ward March 22nd. The young bride wore a white satin wedding gown. Her bouquet bou-quet was Carnations and Sweet Peas. Grace Kendall of Salt Lake City, the Maid of Honor, wore a pink formal. The Bride's maids were: ReNee Fowkes, Nephi; Al-ta Al-ta Bird, Nephi; Lynn Smith, Salt Lake City. They wore pastel formal gowns. Spencer Thompson Thomp-son of Spring City was best man. The program was, Wedding waltz by the bride and groom, "I Love You Dearly." Major Cy. Crane was the Toastmaster. Song, Mrs. Will Hoyt; remarks, by Bishop Tranter; song, Susanna Susan-na Wilkey, sister of the bride. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. Flower arrangements and refreshments were cared for by Mrs. Edna Harris Har-ris of Salt Lake City. In the gift room were Mrs. Murriel Wilkey, sister-in-law of the bride, assisted by Susanna Wilkey, Betty Beck," Lawona Howlton, Mary Lvnn Irons and Carol Byland. There were 450 people in attendance at the reception. |
