Show Legion Entertains City Officials At Social A social was held in the Legion hall Wednesday evening in honor of all new and old city officials. Standing in the receiving line was Unit President Mrs. Jack Iverson, District President Mrs. George E. Graff, District Secretary Mrs. Chick Peck, Mrs. Murray Murdock, Mrs. Sidney Beck and Mrs. Ed. Moss, who all wore corsages of pink sweet peas. Commander Sidney Beck was in charge, and the following program was enjoyed. Address of welcome Sidney Beck. Ladies chorus Mrs. E. H. Boley, Mrs. Lynn Wagstaff, Mrs. Leon Rhodes and Mrs. Charles Anderson. Reading Miss Ruth Chadwick. Piano solo Miss Elaine Smith. Response Mayor Lloyd B. Adam-son. Adam-son. Word of appreciation for cooperation cooper-ation of city officials in all undertakings under-takings of the Legion Auxiliary President Haydee Iverson. Talk Mayor Albert Tregaskis. I Talk Mrs. George E. Graff. Comical song Phill Green, accompanied ac-companied by Jess Green. Vocal duet Anderson brothers. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing to the strains of the new orchestra, which plays for all Legion dances. The orchestra includes Miss Evelyne Beck, Miss Helen Chamberlain, Cecil Ray Hansen Han-sen and Peter Beck. Punch and cookies were served during the dance by three junior auxiliary girls. Next Thursday night another public dance will be given ha the Legion hall. |
