Show Stake Quarterly Conference Well Attended Here during the afternoon conference session, under the direction of Mrs. Viola Beers. They sang, "We Are the Boy Trailbuilders," "A Mormon Boy" and "Call Me." Milton Bennion and Mrs. Felt of the Sunday school general board; Mrs. Isabella Ross, first counselor in the general Primary superintend-ency, superintend-ency, and Mrs. Kerr of the general Primary board were present and treated topics, dealing with child training and character development, i Department work followed, after which the conference was adjourned and the closing prayer "was offered by Edna Newman. A. officers were in charge of the Sunday evening : .-,V T Pnn tti-iv m in The regular quarterly conference of Timpanogos stake held Saturday evening and S'unday was largely attended at-tended and proved to be successful in every detail. President W. W. Warnick presided over the confer- I ence. The theme of the meeting Saturday Satur-day evening was The Book of Mormon. Mor-mon. These treating different phases of the book were President Edmund Cragun, Ray Merrill, C. L. Warnick and Estella Fenton. Prayers were offered by Patriarch David B. Thorne and Delbert Chipman. Musical Musi-cal numbers were furnished by John R. Halliday and pupils from the Brigham Young university and by Mrs. Ora Chipman. Speakers during the Sunday morning morn-ing session were President Christiansen, Christ-iansen, three recently returned missionaries, mis-sionaries, Dean Walker, Dean Atwood At-wood and J. H. Walker, who bore session. Joseph J. uannon, counselor coun-selor in the Young Men's organization or-ganization of the church and his wife, Lucy Grant Cannon, of the Young Women's presidency, were the speakers. Mrs. Cannon spoke on marriage and Mr. Cannon told many interesting missionary experiences. exper-iences. Musical numbers given included a vocal solo by Mrs. Ora Chipman, a piano duet by Miss Olsen and Howard How-ard Paxman of American Fork, flute solo by Zola Jensen, vocal duet by Rulon and Marion Nicholes, all of American Fork. strong testimonies and two outgoing missionaries, Orval Wadley and Dean Cobbley, who leave for the mission home February 28th prior to fulfilling missions. Splendid talks -were also given by Lawrence M. Atwood, Bishop C. R. Clark, Harold S. Walker and Milton Bennion, first assistant to the church Sunday school superintendent. .cuiiro ti nrl p-eneral authorities were presented by Stake Clerk Millen D. Radmall and were unanimously sustained. , Musical numbers given during this session included selections by the stake choir, directed by Earl A. Beck, with Jennie Gleason and Jennie .Walker as accompanists, assisted as-sisted by a string quartet numbers. They sang, "Beautiful Zion for Me," "Lord We Come Before Thee Now," "An Angel From on High," the duet part by Reed Hales and Eva Marriott. Mar-riott. Robert Reese, B. Y. U. tenor sang two numbers, "Blessed are the Peace Makers" and "Dear Lord, Kind Lord." The choir sang, "Ye Who Are. Called to Labor," after which the benediction was offered by Bishop Junius West.
