Show u I Patrons Day Planned at Local High School 'General arrangements have been completed for Patron's Day at the Pleasant Grove high school on Friday, Fri-day, February 11. Consultation periods in which parents may confer with teachers and general outlines of courses being be-ing taught will constitute the morning morn-ing activities. Luncheon will be served at noon and an assembly program, featuring a guest speaker and special musical numbers will conclude the afternoon visit. Chairmen of committees are: General chairman, Estelle Fenton; schedule and advertising, Harry S. Richards; luncheon, Iva Carlson; program, G. W. Larsen; transportation, transporta-tion, Principal Karl Banks; exhibits, Ellen Walker. The public is very cordially invited. in-vited. Watch for details of program pro-gram in succeeding issues of the Review. The boys of the Senior high school held a special assembly Monday to discuss the advisability of effecting effect-ing a boys' league. The purpose of the league would be to improve all conditions at the school which are peculiar to boys. A committee of six was elected to meet and formulate formu-late plans for such an organization, including Rex Walker, Leo Eves, .Tnhn 'PiitTnn Thnrn .Smith Wnllare 'Holland, Lamond Jones. Faculty advisors to this organization arc E. R. West, Joseph Day and Principal Prin-cipal Karl Banks. Friday (today) at 2:00 p. m. the Pleasant Grove Open Forum club meets the Open Forum Society of the American Fork high school in a formal debate. Those representing represent-ing the local school in the discussion discus-sion will be Frank Newman and Austin Dittmore of the sophomore class; Gordon Wright and Edgar Smith of the junior class. Mr. Lyean Johnson is director of the club. |
