Show Pleasant Grove Locals Miss Ruth Bezzant returned Mrs. Millen Radmall entertained Friday, January 14th, for a group of her daughter, Margaret Dawn's friends in honor of her 8th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Logie of Salt Lake, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ezra J. Swenson Wednesday. Curtis West and daughter, Lavon, of Alberta, Canada, have been visiting visit-ing with Mr. West's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph West, for the past two weeks. Mrs. Carl Carlson entertained at a birthday party Saturday for her little daughter, June's, seventh birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hardman were the host and hostess to a group of friends at a social affair Saturday Satur-day evening. Twelve guests were present to enjoy delicious refreshments refresh-ments and progressive card games. Saturday from a three weeks' visit ' with relatives in Magna and Garfield. Gar-field. Monday night Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rich-ard Cullimore and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse K. Thorne visited the temple at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Archie Boren and daughters, Verona Kirk, Lucille Butt and Effie Buhler, spent Friday in Salt Lake City. The Mothers Club met Thursday at the home of Mrs. Oral Wright. Mrs. Lucille Walker reviewed a book as part of the afternoon's program. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Murdock of Heber, visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse K. Thorne. Mrs. Nettie Jackson and Mrs. Margaret Anderson were Salt Lake visitors Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Carlson of Albion, Al-bion, Idaho, have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Adams and other relatives this week. A very good meeting of the Mrs. Harry Steele of Lago, Idaho, has been visiting the past ' two weeks with her mother, Mrs. Amelia Thompson, and her daughter, Naomi. Nao-mi. Mr. and Mrs. Weston Hales, who are now residing in California, have been here visiting with relatives and friends. Milton Jacobs is acting on the District Jury at Provo at the present pres-ent setting of court. Daughters of Utah Pioneers was I held at the home of Mrs. Pearl H. Wadley Wednesday afternoon. A baby boy arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Ellis, Mon- j day morning. 1 Leo Bastian is at home with his parents for a visit and expects to return to his work in the roundhouse round-house at the railroad yards at Ely, Nevada. The Lindon ward Elders gave a dance in the Lindon Hall Wednesday Wednes-day night of last week. The Seventies Seven-ties quorums of Windsor a"nd Lindon are giving a dance next Wednesday at trie same place. Word has been received by Carl Carlson of the serious illness of his youngest brother, Knute Carlson, of California. Knute spent his boyhood boy-hood days in Pleasant Grove. Miss Bush, Mrs. White, Mrs. Told, Mrs. Nell Adamson, Emily Pederson and Mrs. Jones are taking an extensive ex-tensive class at the B. Y. U. Wednesday Wed-nesday evenings. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Barney have received word that their son, Eugene, Eu-gene, who is a patient at the Standard Stan-dard Hospital from a double fracture frac-ture of the pelvis bone, is much improved. Mrs. Thomas Fenton left Friday to visit with relatives at Payson and was taken ill while there. It was found necessary to perform an operation for intestinal disorders. She Is doing nicely at the Payson hospital. Friday afternoon Mrs. Amelia Thompson entertained a few friends at a luncheon. Those present being, Mrs. Victor Barney, Mrs. Alfred Dexter, Mrs. Lottie Sorenson and Mrs. Margaret Anderson. Ora Ann Smith of Pleasant . Grove, sophomore in the College of Fine Arts of Brigham Young university, was elected secretary-treasurer of the combined French clubs Tuesday Tues-day night. Mi and Mrs. Ray Carlson of Albion, Al-bion, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Adams and Mr. and Mrs. J. Sanford Walker were Salt Lake visitors Tuesday. They called on Alvin Carlson, who is now at his home from the L. D. S. hospital, and is reported to be some what improved. Mrs. Louise C. Nielsen entertained a few young matrons at her . home Thursday afternoon. A group of friends pleasantly surprised sur-prised Mr. and Mrs. Irving Bullock Est Saturday evening. Progressive Rook was played and a delicious mncheon served to Mr. and Mrs. Will Green, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Son, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Boren and Mr. and Mrs. Arnel Green.
