Show Charles Orr Killed In Auto Crash Funeral services were held for Charles Orr, a former resident of this city, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Pioneer ward at Provo. President C. E. Young and Joseph Marsh of Alpine were speakers at the services. Mr. Orr died Friday night at 8:25 p. m. in a Provo hospital following an automobile accident at Provo. The accident occurred when Roy A. Strong of Springville, driving south on Third West street, allegedly "ran" a stop sign on First North and struck Orr's car, which was proceeding pro-ceeding east. Orr was thrown out of the car, his head striking against the concrete con-crete curbing. He was rushed to the hospital and died forty minutes later. Mr. Orr was born in American Fork in 1906, a son of James C. and Maggie A. Ferrel Orr. He received his education in Lehi public schools before moving to Salt Lake City, where he lived until twelve years ago, when he moved to Provo. He is also the brother of Mrs. F. F. Beck of Highland. |
