"Everyone benefits when a Jamboree is held-lives are saved by the results of research supported by Rock n' Roll funds, nursing home residents' lives are enhanced by the opportunity to help others, and the community has the opportunity to participate in both the fundraising and the friendship that the Jamlxree brings," said Dennis N. McFall, President of the Utah Health Care Association. "We encourage the community to plan to bowl at the Super Bowl on Saturday, and join us in raising money for this very worthy cause," he said. Others includeTimpanogosCare Center, Orem; Topham's Tiny Tot Care Center, Orem; Utah Valley Care Center, Provo; and View Acre f in Orem. Over 200 nursing home residents from facilities throughout the Utah County area will join together Saturday, February 1 1 at a lindon, Utah bowling alley for a fundraiser to benefit the Utah Heart Association. Nursing home residents have invited their families and the entire community to join thi-m in bowling to raise money for heart research. The event is part of the Kighth Annual Rock n' Roll Jamlxiree, a fundraiser sponsored by Utah Health Care Association, the professional organization of nursing homes. The owner of the lindon Super Bowl Iarry Lundstrom has pledged to donate half of his bowling revenue for the day to the Heart Association. Festivities are set to run from 1 1 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the lindon Super Bowl, 531 North State, lindon, Utah. Other fundraising activities will include a free prize drawing for quilts handmade by nursing home residents, and sale of handicraft items. Baked goods, hotdogs and popcorn will also be sold with all |
