Timpanogos." Alpine Valley Care Center residents to make "assault" on Timpanogos On February 1, 1984 five elderly residents from Alpine Valley Care Center, Pleasant Grove, Utah, kicked off their fund raising effort for the Heart Fund in conjunction with the Rock and Roll Jamboree sponsored by The Utah Health Care Association. The assault is, of course, figurative in nature. The residents will be doing their walking within the Care CY"W in response to dollars donated by others to the Heart Fund. The residents have set a goal of $200. One of them will walk the 244-foot 244-foot length of the building for every dollar donated to the Heart Fund. The walking may be done with the help of a walker, with the assistance of a nurse aid or in some instances in a wheelchair. Thus, as the residents help the Heart Fund, they will also be helping themselves by getting much needed exercise. Please make checks payable to the Heart Fund and mail to "Winter Assault on Mt. Timpanogos" co Alpine Valley care Center, 25 E. Alpine Drive, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062. All contributions will be appreciated. For further information call Barbara Glenn 785-3568. |
