Show Police attend flood ( control meetings Pleasant Grove Police Chief 4 Mike Ferre and Emergency Preparedness Director Sherri Atwood were participants in a meeting held recently at the Utah County Sheriffs Office on flood response. k. The meetings will be held monthly as plans are made for jl flood control preparations in the county. The object is to keep city officials I up to date on flooding prospects in the county, weather predictions and forecasts. Some areas of the county are deemed to be in more potential danger than others and these will be identified. Earth movement in the mountains is being monitored. This is of the most concern at the present time, the participants were told. Areas which showed signs of movement last year are being watched closely. The cooperation of all the cities in the county will be helpful in the flood control efforts, it was reported. The Pleasant Grove representatives will be attending future meetings of the group, too. |
