Lindon Elementary students honored i 1 Lindon Elementary School recently announced "Citizens of the Month" for September. They are Quintin Haynes, Stephanie Pankretz, Mackenzie Johnson, Shaylyn Jolly, Shari Long, Brad Williams, Holly Olsen, Heather Olsen, Rebecca Penrod, Sabrina Fage, Aurie Crowley, Laura Norman, Tricia Matthews, Holly Olson, Doug Shumway, Karen Fisher, Angie Goss, Denise Shepherd, Michelle Whittle, and Timmy Beardall. The "Citizen of the Month" program encourages students to be caring and courteous towards others. Teachers select students monthly who demonstrate courtesy to receive a special certificate indicating they have been chosen "Citizen of the Month." I Academic achievement is not considered in selecting students. According to Connie Lamoreaux, PTA President, this gives some students a chance to receive special recognition when they may not otherwise be recognized. This is the second year this program has been in effect at Lindon Elementary. |
