The group is trained by LeGene Lyman. p Utah Angels Win Honors At World Cup Festival The Utah Angels Jr. Drill and Dance Teams emerged victorious with scores of four Superior, one excellent and three first place trophies in Enthusiasm, Enthus-iasm, Sportsmanship and Precision at the 1982 World Cup Precision Pre-cision Festival held last week. The 15 hour competition was held in the elegant grand ballrooms at Hotel Utah in Salt Lake Citv. Eighty-two of the 117 Angels live in American Fork, Lehi and Pleasant Grove. The remainder are Provo and Orem residents. resi-dents. The highest ratings awarded for independent in-dependent drill teams ..was won -by , the Teenage Unit of Utah Angels. They received a score of 98 out of 100 for their performance of "Breakup Song." The Utah Angels are trained by Mrs. Emerson Emer-son (LeGene) Lyman at the Apollo Hall in American Fork. Championships in other categories were won by many tri-city residents. April Anderson, Ander-son, Tonya Pace, Keri Christopherson and Mindi Baum all received re-ceived individual trophies troph-ies in the Outstanding Performer Division. The Pleasant Grove High School Drill "Viqueens" walked away with first place in high school division championships and the Pleasant Grove Orch-esis Orch-esis won first place in the Character Division. Both groups were trained by Elaine Spencer v Hanson, a faculty, t. member at : Pleasant Grove High School. Mrs. Hanson also received a first place rating in "Adagio , Dance" partnered by Mark Judkins. She was praised for her outstanding out-standing talents both as a dancer and a choreographer. Second place trophies troph-ies were won by Kathy and Mike Norman, age 8 and 9, in Children's Ballroom Dance. Mike and Kathy are the children of Gary and Colleen Norman. Third place in the same division was won by Melissa Cardon, daughter dau-ghter of Lois Cardon. All are residents of American Fork. Melissa Mel-issa was partnered by Jeff Stewart from Provo. In the Physical Fitness category, first place was captured by Mary Ann Morgan's demonstration and competition group of 14 glamorous tri-city mothers.
