Show Hearing Lindon Road Will Get Facelift By LINDA HARRIS Lindon residents can look forward to some improvements in the road at 200 South and approximately 300 West. The condition of the road has received numerous complaints from citizens, parents with school-age children, and organizations such as the local PTA Sidewalk Safety Committee. The area is being developed as a subdivision by Merrill Gappmayer of Orem. Last Wednesday night, April 21. Mr. Gappmayer met with the Lindon City Council and requested a time extension on the development and release of the cash portion of his bond in order to complete the improvements im-provements along 200 South and into the subdivision. With the general economic slump, People purchasing lots there have had to fall back on their payments, and the developer has had difficulty financing completion of the work, Gappmayer said. According to some of the citizens at we meeting, the street, which Ires rectly north of Aspen Elementary fchool, poses a hazard to children alking to school primarily because of the lack of sidewalks and muddy areas on the sides of the street. This forces the children to walk down the m'ddle of the road. Also, chuckholes and mudholes have made it impossible im-possible for cars to drive on the right S'de of the road, they said. Mr. Gappmayer expressed his desire to seethe problems corrected.
