Show Best Two Thursday, April 29, 1982 - Page 13 Years Held Over At Villa The hilarious and realistic- - packed comedy "The Best Two Years of My Life" has been held over for an additional weekend at the Villa Theater in Springville. Performances will be given Saturday, May 1, and Monday, May 3. Curtain time each evening is 8 p.m. -- - but if you want to get a good seat, plan to be early because the 500 seat theater fills up early. Tickets are available at the door, say producers. If you are a former Mormon missionary, are planning to serve a Mormon mission or are the friend or parent of a missionary or a return-ed missionary, you shouldn't miss this one. Written and directed by Scott S. Anderson -- who is also one of the six cast members - it is about four missionaries tryining to cope in Holland. It keeps s audience members in "stitches," but has its serious moments as you watch the four young men develop in character and overcome their problems - problems of learning to get along with each other and of coping with "Dear John" letters from girls at home. Elder Walker - a "greenie" played by Tracy Gamer - serves to draw them together through his naivete' and enthusiasm. The play takes place in a small apartment in Holland. Cast members are Scott Anderson as Elder John Rogers ; Steve Sater as Elder Craig Michaels; Dan Brown as Elder Doug Stevens; Tracy Gamer as Elder Wayne Walk-er; Alan Rockwell as Mark Hansen; and Norm Black as the mailman. Linda Black is stage manager, Norm Black is lighting technician, and Burke O. Belnap, is in charge of set con-struction. The production played in Pleasant Grove before moving to Springville. It moves to Salt Lake in May. '. V ' - " i W I ; f Xili i v?. , t s ') h r ! i - '.. -- '. f e - T - " ? if- - ".-f-- w - . . - J ..... !
