As many as 300 physically handicapped people, many of them missing a limb, will converge on the Park City Ski Area January 2-7 to compete in a series of skiing events and enjoy the mountains. The group, sponsored by the 52 Association, an organization that was founded found-ed to aid wounded veterans returning from World War II, and by Seven-Eleven, will comprise more than wounded wound-ed veterans. The 52 Association has expanded its services to many severely disabled and handicapped people, v t ParktCity bki School will , conduct a series of ski clinics for the people who have never skied before, stage races and special events, give guided .recreational ski tours of the resort and will host cocktail parties and luncheons, Communications Director Packy Longfellow says. The 52 Association has also been active in another area of disabled skiing, that being blind skier guide service. The association maintains its own 41 -acre complex that includes full sports facilities for the disabled in Ossining, nNew.YorkWWyAy.V 1 |
