J1 ' IIIIIIS If you enjoy the Christmas season with all the music, warmth and decorations, you're going to love the latest addition to Park City's restaurant row. It's called Scrooge's, and the emphasis is on Christmas all year round. And, more accurately, according to Don Bernard, who owns Scrooge's with his wife, Deanna, the emphasis will be on the diners having a good time. There will be Christmas music every night, and as often as not carols being sung by both the employees and the customers. custo-mers. You're also welcome to come to the restaurant in costume. As Don says, "You can have fun dining and for very little money.' In fact, they'll do almost anything customers ask. "Within reason", rea-son", Don adds. In their Scrooge's restaurant in California Cali-fornia they have planned Christmas parties in July, arranged birthday parties, and generally been open to suggestion. The other thing the Bernards Ber-nards are assuring is that you get good food at a reasonable price and that Don & Deanna Bernard in front of one of their Christmas decorations at their new restaurant, Scrooge's. The decorations will stay up all year as the Bernards help their customers celebrate the event whenever they want to. Scrooge's -Fun Meals At a Low Price Continued from Page 3B there's lots of it. Their menu only has seven entrees, but each is a full meal. You start out with a tureen of soup, followed by the house salad ' and pasta. Then you're served the entree, together with potato. Bernard says there is so much food customers have been known to eat all the trimmings and take the entree home for another meal, which is fine with them. They'll provide you with the doggy bag. Dinners start at $6.95 and the highest price on the menu, for steak is $10.95. As an example, their duck, at a reasonable price of $9.95, is more than two pounds per serving. The food also carries on the "fun" atmosphere. The curry is served in an edible bowl. Of interest to many Par-kites, Par-kites, Scrooge's also has a vegetarian plate, which is different every night. The Bernards are trying to appeal to the local market since they plan to be open all year. They felt Park City needed a restaurant that had good meals at a reasonable price for the locals. They've also tried to keep such things as set-ups and corkage fees down. For one stop dining they also have a mini-bottle store. Desserts are homemade each day. Their opening night they offered either chocolate mousse or apple pie. If you're looking for a fun place to eat, or an inexpensive, inexpen-sive, one, the Bernards say they have the place.
