Show Chit Chat By ilea Christmas comes but once a year but oh what a happy time for all it brings. The whole Kummer family enjoyed themselves even though we were not all here the phone brought those far away close on that day. The girls in Phoenix sent their love' and they too had a very nice Christmas. Mary and the boys were busy moving into their new town house Christine and Wayne had two mysterious callers leaving presents from Santa. Wayne had been out of work most of the year and the visit really made it a better day for their four children. June and Steve spent time with his family and young James really enjoyed his first memorable Christmas. Leon, Sharon, Velma and Charlie and all of theirs in Huntington did' enjoy a very happy season with friends and relatives. Marcine, Marcie and Chuck came from Green River, Wyb. Dorene and Dale from Heber, Ken and Marge from Salt Lake, Kay and Gordon from Vernal along with Greg, Valerie, Crissie, and Teresa frpm Park were all here for the holidays. It has been a very busy but happy time for us all wishing all a very Happy New Year. La Vern Mathie received a very lovely Christmas card from . Evelyn Stanton of Leeds, Utah who is now Mrs. Jessie Jones. All wish Evelyn the very best and happiness supreme in this marriage. The Park City Chapter of Daughters of Utah Pioneers enjoyed a very' lovely evening at the home of Edna Fisher, December 15. There were fourteen present starting at 5 p.m. with a pot luck dinner which was a great variety and delicious. We then went to the high school where we really enjoyed the Christmas program that was presented by the high schoorclrama and chorus. We missed several members who were unable to be there due to illness and are thankful to know they are better. The high school chorus is great under the direction of Sue Boyle who took it upon herself with the backing of parents to again have a superior chorus. Park City has always had a very special music dept. with the band, mixed chorus, girls chorus and boys, something that we haven't had these past few years. It takes many hours to get a group like this together and Sue is to be commended for this extra activity along with the students who are doing this on off time. Sue is a graduate of Park High and remembers when Park had the best under the direction of Byron Jones, some even made comments as to Sue showing some of Byrons actions in her directing. We wish to congratulate Sue on a job well done. Tonja Wright the daughter of Peggy Wright Blonquist has done a superb job also with the drama class, keep up the good work girls your doing great. Sunday Gordon and Kay Grange received word from their landlady that the house they were renting had caught fire. Seems it never rains but it pours and on Monday Gordon got a call from Denver that his job was terminated. No home, no job but this young couple is looking forward to a very happy New Year and a new baby due in the early part of 1983 and promises much happiness for us all. |
