Show I ' , 'f :,( '.:, , : Live entertainment in Park City could be endangered species Unless you make your own, live music is getting tough to find in Park City which is a shame because now, during the off-season, is when locals finally have time to kick back and enjoy a night on the town. Fortunately, the Cowboy Bar, the Down Under club, the Grub Steak and Ryan's bar understand that locals deserve live entertainment as much as tourists do. They've booked a few special engagements for the off-season. Cowboy Bar The band Spaces will offer two evenings of jazzy rock 'n roll at the Cowboy Bar on Main Street on Friday and Saturday. The Cowboy is currently operating on its spring schedule and is only open those two nights. The music starts at 9 p.m. Down Under Folksinger Kat James takes up her familiar post at the Down Under club at the Claimjumper Hotel Wednesday Wednes-day through Saturday. Local fans gather round and sing along on favorite numbers and a few have I been known to accompany Kat on harmonica. Grub Steak Contemporary vocalist Nate Jep-son Jep-son provides the easy-listening dinner music at the Grub Steak Restaurant in Prospector Square Friday through Sunday evening. Ryan's Thursday is the locals' night to howl at Ryan's on Main Street. Anyone with a musical inclination is invited to participate in an informal jam session beginning at 9 p.m. Acoustic instruments are preferred. |
