Show If s clearf Park City Glass is open on Iron HorscDnve Opening the Park City Glass Company Com-pany .is a big break in the career of its owner, Chuck Davey. The company is the culmination of a 10-year dream, he said. Davey first became interested in Park City when he and a partner purchased a condominium at Three Kings in September 1975. From that time, almost 75 percent of the work done by his Salt Lake City-based firm was done here. When the residential glass con struction business fell off in1 1979, Davey concentrated on auto glass replacement and custom mirror?. He filed the name, Park City Glasi, with the state in 1979 with the intention inten-tion of beginning a full-service glass company in Park City, he said. The time was right to make a move when the proper facilities became available in Park City. He moved to town last summer and relocated his business to 1250 Iron Horse Drive in November. The privately owned corporation employs four people and has two trucks and assets totaling about $40,000. A Davey said he is a licensed general contractor and, aside from doing auto glass replacement and custom mirrors, his firm will install steamroom glass and tub enclosures. They also are available for emergency work. He has a MBA degree and state general and glazier contracting licenses. . . |
