On October 30, 1984, at the hour of 5:00 p.m., this Board of County Commissioners met in the County Building at Coalville, Utah, and held a public hearing at which time interested parties appeared to be heard. Section 6. Notice of intention to create said service area was given by publication once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks at weekly intervals in The Park Record, a newspaper of general circulation in Summit County, Utah. The notice was in substantially the following form: RESOLUTION TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO SUMMIT COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 6 The Board of County Commissioners of Summit County, Utah met in session at the meeting place of the Board in the County Building in Coalville, Utah, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the 25th day of September, 1984. There were present Chairman Gerald Young, Commissioner Cliff Blonquist and Commssioner Ron Perry. There was also present Mr. Reed D. Pace, County Clerk. After the minutes of the last meeting had been read and approved and the roll called with the above result, the following Resolution was introduced in written form by Commissioner Young, and was read in full and discussed and thereupon pursuant to motion by Commissioner Blonquist and seconded by Commissioner Perry, was adopted by the following vote: AYE: Chairman Gerald Young, Commissioner Cliff Blonquist, Commissioner Ron Perry. NAY: None The Resolution is as follows: Resolution giving notice of the annexation of territory to Summit CountyService Area No. 6. WHEREAS, upon this motion and pursuant to 17-29-1 et. seq., Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended, the Board of County Commissioners of Summit County is authorized to provide for the annexation of other areas to an existing County service area, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Summit County on September 25, 1984, voted in support of a Resolution to annex the property described herein to Summit County Service Area No. 6 to provide for road maintenance, including snow removal, for county roads in said area, and WHEREAS, copy of said Resolution was filed with the Summit County Clerk within one month after said Resolution was passed. NOW, THEREFORE, Be It and It Is Hereby Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Summit County, Utah: Section 1. The public health, convenience and necessity require the boundaries of Summit County Service Area No. 6 to be expanded to include the following property: Landmark Inn Commercial Area Jeremy Ranch Clubhouse Condominiums-Phase I Powder Wood at Landmark-Phase II Circle J Club at Jeremy Ranch-Phase II White Pine Ranches-Phase Ranches-Phase I Section 2. The area proposed to be annexed shall be included in and designated as Summit County Service Area No. 6. Section 3. The area shall be annexed for the purpose of providing road maintenance, including snow removal, for County roads for the annexed property. Section 4. A tax sufficient to pay for all such services which are furnished on an extended basis will be annually levied on all taxable property located within the proposed County Service Area. Section 5. On the 30th day of October, 1984, at 5:00 p.m., at the Summit County Courthouse, Coalville, Utah, the Board of County Commissioners of Summit County will meet and hold a public hearing at which time and place all interested persons may appear and protest, either orally or in writing, the annexation of the proposed territory to Summit County Service Area No. 6 for the furnishing of the proposed service. Property owners of the taxable property in Summit County Service Area No. 6, as proposed, or persons being qualified voters within SummiU County Service Area No. 6, as proposed, may file written protest with the Board of County Commissioners within thirty (30) days after the conclusion of the hearing.
