Show New school board compensation proposed A new policy was proposed Tuesday to reimburse Park City Board of Education members and the school district's administrative personnel for expenses incurred while on district business. It will be posted for public comment for 30 days. The new policy calls for the reimbursement of "reasonably expected expenses incurred while attending a conference, convention or workshop directly related to the operational objectives of the district." "It is a conservative policy compared to other districts," said school superintendent Tony Mitchell. The policy stipulates that prior approval is necessary for reimbursement and that travel arrangements should be made far enough in advance to secure the best possible rates. The per diem allowance for meals is $23 and auto reimbursement will be 23 cents per mile. |
