On Jan. 16, he assumed the role of "personal property appraiser" under County Assessor Leo Frazier. 'l enjoy working for the county," said Perry, who worked in the assessor's office in Coalville for five years before being elected to the commission in 1982. "I saw the opportunity to work for the county again, so I applied for the job." The position was created by the county commission on Jan. 16 when it approved a request by Frazier to fund for six months a personal property appraiser. Perry will be involved in registering for tax purposes equipment used by businesses. The allocation for the position is $1,487 a month for six months. "At the end of six months, it's the end of the job," said County Commissioner Cliff Blonquist. Perry, who was the only applicant for the job, says he is well qualified for the position. |
