Show Junior golfers tee off in first tournament ' The first tournament in this year's junior golf program was held June 25 at the Park City Golf Course with 41 participants. Results have been withheld to keep the remaining two events from becoming overly competitive, com-petitive, according to golf course pro Doug Vilven. The next event will be a team best-ball tourney on July 16 at 8 a.m. Juniors should sign up at the pro shop by July 13. Vilven said volunteers are needed to walk with the groups and help with the scorekeeping. If you would like to donate two hours of your time call the pro shop at 649-8701. 649-8701. The final event of this year's junior program will be the club championship cham-pionship on August 6, an individual event with divisions by age. The season conclude with the junior banquet in late August when trophies and prues will be awarded. |
