Show Another hotel? Although no formal announcements announce-ments have been made and no official plans have been submitted to the Park City Planning Department, another major hotel project is being planned for the north end of Park City. The project, known as Snow Creek n, will be located across Utah Highway 224 from the Park City Municipal Golf Course. The project was the subject of a Park City Planning Commission public hearing June 27. According to the presentation made at the hearing by city planner John Eskelin, the project would consist of a 300-room hotel, 80,000 to 100,000 square feet of office space and as "support commercial" space. The developers of Snow Creek II, which include Parkites with financing from Tucson, Arizona, are asking that the commercial use be granted although the proposed site is zoned Residential Development, Develop-ment, Medium Density (RDM), which does not allow such use. According to city planners, the Land Management Code would have to be amended to allow the proposed commercial use of the RDM zone. |
