Show i l CItit Chat ByBca Mr. and Mrs. Jack Busio celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary May 29, 1981. They enjoyed a family dinner and the many well wishes of friends and neighbors, making it a day to long remember. Jack came from Yugoslavia to Park City in 1915 to work in the mines, and lived in the halfway house in Empire Canyon at a boarding house for single miners. Rosa came from Yugoslavia to Park City in 1921 to live with relatives where they soon met and it was love at first sight. They were married May 29, 1921 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church and still share their life with each other and their five children, Mary, Kathryn, Mike, Madelyn and Helen. They are still living in their home in Empire Canyon. Mike and Katie also still live there. This happy couple are well known and loved by all round them. I, too, wish them many more years of happiness together. Marcie Kummer of Rock Springs, Wyo., is spending a two-week vacation at her grandparents home here in Park City. Marcie is planning on spending some of her summer in Tempe, Arizona with Wyane and Christine Tharp. School has been out for a week now and so she will have a long summer vacation. A letter was received asking for information on the Fontaine family who lived here in 1924. Cyrelle Fontaine of Hill City, Kansas ask for help in locating his family, mentioning Tilda Fontaine. I gave the letter to Tilda Bausmn as she is the Tilda mentioned. She was real happy as she had lost contact with her family. |
